Wisconsin River - The Upper Dells Waterway Buffalo Ridge is located on the Upper Dells Waterway. This section of the river is known as one of the most scenic parts of the 430-mile long Wisconsin River. It was carved out by melting glacier water over 15,000 years ago and left impressive rock formations over 100 feet high. The Wisconsin River is ideal for those in canoes, kayaks, pontoon boats and shallow draft fishing boats. Depending on your watercraft, you can enjoy up to 15 miles of boating.

On the river, you can beach up on a sand bar or float down two miles to the 900-acre Lake of the Dells for tubing and waterskiing. Once you make it near the Dells, you can boat past the Wisconsin Ducks, the evening dinner cruises, and even play in the same water as the Dells Jet Boats. When you’re ready for fun on land, tie up to a dock in downtown Wisconsin Dells. Along this cruise you can also stop off at one of the several waterfront bars or restaurants and enjoy a good meal or quench your thirst.

For the fishing enthusiast, you will find some of the best walleye, bass and sturgeon fishing right in your backyard. If it’s muskie you’re after, you can enjoy several miles of prime habitat for Wisconsin’s sought after trophy.

As you can see, this body of water has plenty of adventure to offer and is only a stone’s throw from your backdoor.
